About the programme

You should choose Water and Environmental Engineering if you are interested in how we can address the major water and environmental challenges facing society 每 from rising sea levels and flooding to pollution and the sustainable use of natural resources. The programme gives you the skills to analyse complex issues and find technical solutions that take nature, society and climate into account. You will learn to work across disciplines and get the opportunity to collaborate with companies, authorities and research communities during your studies. This is a Master*s for those who want to help ensure that we have clean water, resilient cities and healthy ecosystems.

Last year of the study programme - with or without specialization

In your final year of study (3rd and 4th semesters), you will choose how you want to complete your study programme. You can choose to continue the study programme without a specialization or with a specialization. Your choice will determine which courses you will get.?

  • If you choose to continue with a specialization, you will focus on resource, hydrological and hydraulic conditions and new pollutants in cities, water and soil from climate changes and increasing strain on eco systems.?
  • If you choose to continue with the specialization "Environment al Processes, you will focus on how climate change will influence biological, chemical, and physical processes in natural end environmental engineering systems.

New Master*s options

We expect that as of 2028 you will be able to take this Master's degree programme as a 2-year programme (full-time study, 120 ECTS credits) and as a 3-year Master's for working professionals (first year full-time and then two years of part-time study in combination with relevant employment)
