Master degree
Sustainable Energy Engineering, Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering
In this study programme, you work with the development of sustainable energy systems of the future. You deal with the analysis, design and modelling of systems such as PtX, CCUS, offshore wind turbines and offshore robotics.
About the programme
You should choose Sustainable Energy Engineering if you want to develop and drive the green transition. The programme is for those who are curious about how we can use and manage energy systems in a smarter and more sustainable way. You will learn to work with development, simulation and optimisation of technologies such as Power-to-X, carbon capture, offshore wind and energy storage. You will gain experience collaborating with companies on real-world projects and sustainable solutions.
You can choose between two specialisations. In Offshore Energy Systems, you will work with different technologies for energy transfer, energy harvesting and regulation of offshore energy systems. In Fluids and Process Systems, you will work with flow and process simulation of renewable energy systems, such as Power-to-X, CCUS and energy storage.
You choose one of three specialisations:

New Master¡¯s options
We expect that as of 2028 you will be able to take this Master's degree programme as a 2-year programme (full-time study, 120 ECTS credits) and as a 3-year Master's for working professionals (first year full-time and then two years of part-time study in combination with relevant employment)
