Through problem-based learning, both individually and in groups, you will develop the skills to identify, analyse and present solutions to current, real-world business challenges. Contact with the business community is an essential part of this Master¡¯s. Many projects are carried out in collaboration with companies, giving you a great opportunity to combine theory and practice. Throughout the programme, you will practice your English language skills in an international environment and based on international research-based knowledge. These are important factors when working both in and outside of Denmark.

With a Master¡¯s in Entrepreneurial Business Engineering, you will be able to apply theories, methods and tools in the areas of business development, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, design, business models, financing and project management. You will have the skills to develop innovative business solutions in a holistic perspective, from concept to implementation, and you will be able to head projects and development processes in both new and established companies.

Your professional profile will be versatile and attractive to many types of companies and organisations in need of development activities: Private and public companies, start-ups, and small and medium-sized enterprises. Your work may involve creating value through innovative solutions, developing new business areas, developing and implementing new creative work processes in companies, advising others on starting a business or starting your own knowledge-based business. Job titles can include business developer, product manager and innovation manager ¨C or you can start a business and become a founding entrepreneur.

The 1st semester consists of theoretical basis modules within the areas of management of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurial dynamics. These modules also provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to pursue and execute entrepreneurial ideas, and/or to continuously develop new services, products, and business areas in existing organisations.

The 2nd semester looks more closely into functional business areas (e.g., entrepreneurial finance, financial accounting, marketing, sustainability) needed to start a new business, and/or innovate existing ones, including operations, organisational design, and project management.

In the 3rd semester of the master's programme, you have several different options:

A project-based company collaboration of 10, 15 or 20 ECTS, where you help to solve real problems for the organisation in parallel with identifying, exploring, analysing, and reflecting on issues in relation to your specialisation. The stay can be in an organisation or company in either Denmark or abroad.

A semester at another Danish or foreign university.

The 4th semester is devoted to the masters¡¯ thesis, where you will have the opportunity to develop and implement the knowledge, skills, and competences acquired throughout the study programme.

You will work on identifying, examining, analysing and reflecting on theoretical and practical problems that are closely related to management of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurial dynamics.
