About the programme

You should choose Electronic Systems if you are interested in how electronic circuits are designed and integrated with intelligent systems, wish to learn about algorithms for signal processing 每 and are curious about modelling and optimising complex systems.  
The programme consists of three core technological areas: Machine learning and signal processing, control and automation, and communication technology 每 including radio systems.  You will also gain skills in real-time system design, stochastic systems and signals, mathematical modelling, distributed systems, communication and intelligent signal processing.

New Master*s options

We expect that as of 2028 you will be able to take this Master's degree programme as a 2-year programme (full-time study, 120 ECTS credits) and as a 3-year Master's for working professionals (first year full-time and then two years of part-time study in combination with relevant employment)

In the 3rd semester of the master*s programme in Electronic Systems, you have the opportunity to go abroad or spend your semester in a company.

Aalborg University cooperates with a range of universities across the world and has well-established contacts in industry both in regards to student projects and company internships. The International Office at Aalborg University may assist you with guidance, but you must make your own preparations, incl. checking whether you need advanced credit transfer, looking for accommodation, checking up on insurance, visa and possible needed vaccinations, and, if relevant, how to avoid a lapse of your Danish residence permit.

The master's programme in Electronic Systems qualifies you for a wide range of jobs in top companies all over the world. Candidates are likely to find employment within areas such as wireless and mobile communication, complex electronic and electromechanical systems, design, development, construction and/or test of control systems and autonomous systems, etc. Hiring companies could be (not limited to) Grundfos, Danfoss, Siemens Wind Power, Dansk Energi, Telenor, Motorola, Nokia Bell Labs, NRGI Net or Niras.
